Congleton's newest under-18s night Fresh has been postponed as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

After several meetings over the last couple of months with the town council's Anti Social Behaviour Working Group and Youth Council, Councillor Rob Moreton approached the manager of Bamboogy to organise an event for the young people of Congleton at the club.

However, the event for 14 to 17-year-olds which would have took place on Thursday 9th April will have to be rescheduled.

Councillor Moreton told Nub News: "The disco has been postponed, anyone who has purchased tickets can have a refund or keep their ticket which will be valid when a new date is confirmed.

"Stay safe everyone, we as a town will come through the next few weeks stronger.

"Keep up the fantastic community spirit."
