Everybody Health and Leisure has welcomed back local sports clubs to the refurbished Congleton Leisure Centre.

Everybody opened its doors in June to the eagerly awaiting clubs in the local community, who couldn't wait to get back to their leisure provider of choice in Congleton.

They included Congleton Walking Netball team to their homesite and Everybody heard from Christine Percival about how she felt about the move back home.

"It's absolutely brilliant to be back at Congleton, it's been two years in the making and we've been playing over at Alderley Park since the refurbishment started," she said.

"Some of the team have been able to walk down to the leisure centre, which is great and the court's brilliant."

Lee Malkin, Sports Development Manager at Everybody Health & Leisure said: "The sports facilities at Congleton Leisure Centre are fantastic and it's great to see our Congleton Walking Netball group get back on the court in their home town.

"Sport plays such an important part to people's physical and mental wellbeing, so these social sport sessions are really important helping people to enjoy sport and socialise in our Taste For Life café afterwards."

Trish Ryan and Andrea Whitley from the Congleton Harriers Running club are also happy with the new-look leisure centre.

"It's the first time we've seen the facility and it looks amazing! The gym equipment is fantastic and we can't wait to use the thermal suite which is our favourite area of the leisure centre," they said.

"We would definitely recommend Congleton Leisure Centre to the local community.

"It's a brilliant facility and we don't think the membership prices are extortionate certainly in comparison to other places that are around.

"There is just so much here with everything being top of the range, it's going to be great for the community, an overall great deal!"
