Six weekly summer play days will take place in Congleton over the coming summer period.

On every Tuesday of the school summer holidays, a different event will take place from 10.30am-2.30pm. All the events will run in the pedestrianised area of Congleton town centre.

What's more, they are all free to attend!

The full lineup is as follows:

  • Tuesday 23 July - Drumming and music day
  • Tuesday 30 July - Junk modelling day
  • Tuesday 6 August - Olympic games with Everybody Leisure
  • Tuesday 13 August - Traditional play day with Congleton Community Projects
  • Tuesday 20 August - Photo snappy day
  • Tuesday 27 August - Comic art and flyaway day

Funding has been secured from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to help stage the six different events, which are being organised by Congleton Town Council.

Rachel McCarthy, organiser of the fun days, said: "These six play days will take place every Tuesday of the school summer holiday from 10.30am-2.30pm in the pedestrian area.

"Each week will feature a different theme, complete with activities to match. Best of all, there's no need to drive out of town—everything is local and conveniently located right on your doorstep. We can't wait to see you there!"

The weeks of activities are a top excuse to have a mooch around the town centre and to have some summer family fun while doing so.
