Two Congleton residents could win Olympic medals today.

John Gimson and Anna Burnet, who previously won silver medals together at the Tokyo Olympics, are in action in Paris this afternoon.

The pair will compete in the Mixed multihull medal race at 1:43pm today, competing against Finland, Argentina and Brazil.

Also taking part in the race will be Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, Sweden and New Zealand.

A local watch party is taking place at Rudyard Lake Sailing Club, Reacliffe Road, Rudyard, Leek, Staffordshire ST13 8RS, from 1pm.
