A Congleton fundraiser is getting ready to run the Chester 50 Mile Ultramarathon for the Everybody Foundation.

One of the amazing members at Everybody Health & Leisure, Sonny, has signed up to the Chester 50 Mile Ultramarathon taking place on 2nd March 2024, fundraising for the Everybody Foundation.

The 35-year-old is a member at Congleton Leisure Centre, and his fundraising motivation comes from his positive mindset and belief that any kind of exercise is important for everyone, to keep a healthy physical lifestyle, as well as prioritising mental health.

Everybody Health & Leisure member, Sonny shares: "I am running to raise money for the Everybody Foundation as I am a big believer in everyone should have access to a healthy happy lifestyle. My daughter has additional needs and we have been able to access clubs that she wouldn't have been able to without the support of Everybody Health & Leisure."

Sonny started his own fitness journey during the covid outbreak in 2020, when it took a toll on everyone's mental health. He has four children and believes it's vital they have the ability to participate in sports.

Two of Sonny's children have additional needs and have been able to access activities like Everybody's inclusive swim, which they haven't been able to find anywhere else, providing his family with quality family time while exercising and having fun.

Everybody's Inclusive Swim sessions offer a unique experience where people with a disability can attend and enjoy swimming in a fun and safe environment - and are just one of the motivations behind Sonny's upcoming 'marathon' challenge.
