Congleton Town Council is encouraging all residents to join a new Facebook group set up by White Ribbon Congleton.

Everyone is invited to join and support the local White Ribbon campaign 'to eradicate male violence against women and all gender-based violence and abuse'.

The private online group hopes to share stories and best practice of the important work being carried out in and around the town.

Only members of White Ribbon Congleton can see who is in the group or what has been posted and discussed.

The objective is to create a safe space where members of the public especially men can share tips for talking about sexism, harassment and violence.

To join the Facebook group, which currently has 20 members, click here.
