Six people in Congleton are celebrating after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.

The Davenshaw Drive neighbours netted the windfall when CW12 2FP was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People's Postcode Lottery yesterday (Thursday 9th July).

People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson sent his well-wishes to the winners. He said: "I'm thrilled for our winners, what great news for them! I hope they enjoy their winnings and go treat themselves to something nice."

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised over £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted by Girlguiding which has received over £5.2 million in funding from the players of People's Postcode Lottery.

Girlguiding is active in every part of the UK, giving girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players' support, and local charities can next apply for funding in August.
