Congleton man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after stabbing

A man from Congleton has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Staffordshire Police were called to reports of a burglary at a house in Biddulph on Saturday (March 15).
Officers arrived at the property on Congleton Road at 1.10am and found a man had been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital with 'serious injuries' to his head, chest and back.
A 31-year-old-man, from Congleton, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, aggravated burglary of a dwelling and possession of a knife in a public place.
He remains in custody as of Sunday morning (March 16).
Meanwhile, Staffordshire Police officers remain in the area 'to reassure the community'
