The contractors for the Congleton Link Road (Wolstenholme Elmy Way) will be putting temporary traffic lights in place on two roads from Monday (24th May).

There will be temporary two-way traffic lights in place 24 hours a day on Chelford Road, adjacent to Goodwin's Pool, to enable the construction of a new field access. The lights are expected to remain in place until next Friday (28th May).

On Holmes Chapel Road, there will be three-way traffic lights in place between the hours of 7.30am and 6.30pm to enable the construction of a new footpath. The lights are expected to remain in place until Friday, 4th June.

When completed the footpath will provide a connection to Holmes Chapel Road and the entrance to the River Dane Holiday Park.

From Monday (24th May), Graham will also be imposing a full closure of Back Lane (East) adjacent to the Seddon Homes development and Travis Perkins Builders Merchant to enable the widening of the carriageway.

The closure will be in place for "approximately" six weeks and the planned completion date is 2nd July.

The closure applies to non-motorists, but pedestrians and cyclists will be able to divert the closure via the Seddon Homes development before re-joining Back Lane.
