Cardboard fire in Congleton

Firefighters were called to a fire involving a pallet of cardboard well alight behind a business premises in Barn Road, Congleton.

The incident took place just after 1am this morning.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Crews used a hose reel to put out the fire which is believed to have been started deliberately."
