The Bromley Farm Hub Group is holding its Annual General Meeting on 5 February at 6.30pm in the Wellbeing Hub on Parnell Square (off Woolston Ave), Bromley Farm.

The group has gone from strength to strength since its formation in November 2022 and has engaged people in activities like the Bromley Bloomers gardening and the Friends' Lunch Club, special events like the Coronation and Christmas parties, and working with Plus Dane to help to enhance local area, improve living conditions and provide friendship and support to all. All the activities we have provided have been free for everyone living on Bromley Farm.

Chair, (Cllr) Susan Mead said "We have been delighted with the involvement of lots of our neighbours on Bromley Farm. In October 2022 we prioritised some activities and clubs and set about starting them, with the help of a lovely team of volunteers. Now more people have joined in and we have our beautiful new Friendship Garden, improvements to our estate and some really good regular groups. I hope lots of people come to the AGM and see what's on offer and hopefully, join in."

The Annual Report will be presented at the meeting and residents will have the opportunity to find out more about the group's activities and finances. Subgroups include the Residents' Forum working with Plus Dane on improvements, the Friends Group offering a Lunch Club, the Stay and Play for parents and children, and the Bromley Bloomers gardening group.

The accounts will also be presented and an auditor will verify them. The Committee and its officers (Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Secretary) will be elected for the forthcoming year, so if anyone is interested in standing for office, please email [email protected].

Councillor Kay Wesley, Chair of the Community Committee of Congleton Town Council and a volunteer with the group, said "It is great to see local people turn up, have fun together and help to improve their area. The clubs like the Bromley Bloomers and the Friends group have turned out to be a great way to make new friends as well as offering activities, fresh air and free food! I hope a lot of local people come to the AGM to learn more, and the Bromley Farm Hub continues to grow and thrive."
