ALWAYS WANTED TO LEARN TO SEW? … Springboard is running a 'Learn to Sew' course, aimed at complete beginners.

This course is FREE and available exclusively to Cheshire East residents aged 19+ without a maths qualification at GCSE grade 4/C (or equivalent).

The course is funded through the NEW government numeracy programme, Multiply, which has been developed to help adults improve their numeracy skills.

Learners will make and take home a selection of machine sewn projects. The idea behind the course is to show that maths and numeracy are everyday skills. Sewing is maths!

"There are the obvious components of measuring, angles and geometry, but we'll also look at costing work and calculating profit margin; everyday maths in action".

To find out more information or to book a place email [email protected] or call 01260 290 682.

Springboard is a not-for-profit community interest group based in Congleton, that delivers training, careers advice and adult learning on behalf of and across Cheshire East.
