The brokerage who are the mortgage arm of Congleton-based financial planning firm, Franklyn Financial Management, now have a presence on our town's High Street.

Franklyn for Mortgages have opened their Congleton branch and share their site with Stephenson Browne, on 21 High Street.

"We're delighted to open our new office", said Andrew Chatterton, Managing Director of Franklyn Financial Management.

"What I love about Congleton is that 20 years ago, it was here where I had my first office in a town, rather than in a bedroom.

"It was on Moody Street in a fantastic, listed building. So, I've got my roots here.

"Franklyn has always been here for decades, and to see the town be rejuvenated is everything to me."

The new High Street office will bring two more jobs to Congleton.

Existing FFM Wealth Manager, Liam Danaher, and new FFM Mortgage Adviser Nick Louis, will be based in the new office, and both have pre-existing links to our town.

"It is nice to be back in the town centre", said Liam.

"We've been at the business park on John Bradshaw Court for a while now. It is nice to be around other businesses and the people of Congleton going around the town centre.

"I moved here seven years ago with my partner Emma who lived here before that. I also moved here because of my job with Franklyn.

"I like the community atmosphere of Congleton. It is very welcoming to new people. It was very easy for me to settle in coming from Stockport."

Mortgage advice, financial planning assistance and industry-leading customer service can be found at their new Congleton office.

"I chose to move to Franklyn because of the community spirit," added Nick.

"They do a great job supporting local business and sports clubs especially.

"I'm really big into my cycling so there's that But FFM also support the Tennis Club, Vale Juniors. They're really trying to the support the community and help Congleton grow.

"I grew up in Congleton, went to Eaton Bank and lived here until 2010. I travelled the world and moved back in 2014. I now live here with my wife and children."

This sentiment was echoed by Liam and Nick's boss.

Congleton residents Liam Danaher and Nick Louis have new jobs at the Franklyn Financial Management Congleton office.

"Congleton has got a lovely feel. It is a safe community with a charm which I want to try and bring back," added Andrew.

"Part of what we've done here is make a statement to say, Congleton is a great place. You don't need to travel to Knutsford or Manchester to go out. Why not have it in Congleton?

"We've got some great business in this town and there is not enough awareness of that. I want to try and help change that. Which was part of the decision why we chose to buy the building, get it renovated and bring new people in."

As he cut the ribbon to mark the opening of Franklyn's new hub, Congleton Mayor Denis Murphy said "It is wonderful. Thank you for continuing to do business, work and live in the town we all love.

"We like people to be in town, doing business, promoting and supporting each other."

Franklyn Financial Management was founded by Andrew Chatterton in Congleton in 1999.

The company recently welcomed work experience from Congleton's Eaton Bank Academy.
