Co-operate is an online community centre bringing people in Congleton together to make good things happen. Whether you want to find things to do, volunteer, join a group or set up your own – it's for people who care about their community and want to join forces to get things done.

Co-operate helps build stronger communities where people are more connected. There are over 20,000 people, including 11,000 groups, sharing ways to get involved and support each other. Created with local communities, by local communities and for local communities.

The Co-op Member Pioneer for Congleton and Holmes Chapel, Alison Wright, is encouraging locals to donate their old or spare laptops and tablets to Tech4Kidz – a project that supplies this equipment to young people so that they can get the most out of remote learning while schools are closed.

As we entered this latest lockdown, Alison very quickly realised that lots of homes were struggling with not having enough laptops.

A group in Congleton is aiming to revive the memory of the town's pioneering suffragist campaigner Elizabeth Wolstenholme Elmy through a series of online films.

Elizabeth's Group is planning to create a series of 'Talking Heads' style films and they are searching for local people to take part and help bring the campaigner's story to life.
