Co-op is offering to send free 'pick-me-up' packs to people in Congleton in support of World Mental Health Day this week.
Sunday 10 October is World Mental Health Day. The pandemic has affected the mental health of millions of people. Support is vital but how easy it is to access can depend on where you live or who you are.
Co-operate is an online community centre bringing people in Congleton together to make good things happen. Whether you want to find things to do, volunteer, join a group or set up your own – it's for people who care about their community and want to join forces to get things done.
Co-operate helps build stronger communities where people are more connected. There are over 20,000 people, including 11,000 groups, sharing ways to get involved and support each other. Created with local communities, by local communities and for local communities.

During the last stretch of lockdown, to lift the spirits of the community, Charlotte Percy and her daughter Allegra organised a Fairy Trail in their local woods in Gawsworth.
What started as a few doors hidden between the trees soon turned into over 100 fairy doors and dwellings donated by their lovely neighbours.

The Co-op Member Pioneer for Congleton and Holmes Chapel, Alison Wright, is encouraging locals to donate their old or spare laptops and tablets to Tech4Kidz – a project that supplies this equipment to young people so that they can get the most out of remote learning while schools are closed.
As we entered this latest lockdown, Alison very quickly realised that lots of homes were struggling with not having enough laptops.
