Crewe housing development aims to bring jobs to the area

Building will soon commence on Anwyl Homes Shavington development after acquiring the eight acres needed to progress the project.

Anwyl Homes secured planning permission for the development last year and plan to build 84 homes on the Newcastle Road and Stock lane plots, alongside the housing development, the company plan to develop a 7,500 sq ft retail development. No tenants have been revealed yet however.

The Flintshire based developer believes that the new development will support up to 260 jobs in the local area whilst they complete the development alongside future employment opportunities.

Phil Dolan, managing director for Anwyl Homes Cheshire North and North Wales said;

"Housebuilding and the property industries have an important role to play in the economy providing jobs, investment in the community, and addressing the housing shortage by increasing the opportunities for people to buy houses.

"We're committed to buying sustainable sites in sought-after locations across North Wales and the North West of England to provide much-needed new homes," he continued.

The neighbourhood which is to be called Queen's Meadow is the final phase of the wider Shavington Triangle development which has included 2 phases of development which has accommodated nearly 400 dwellings.

Anwyl Homes have yet to give a timescale for the completion of the project.
