Macclesfield Symphony Orchestra is getting ready to present a lovely programme of music from Italy this March.

Macclesfield Symphony Orchestra (formerly known as KEMS Orchestra), is heading into its 67th season, and last year hosted a range of concerts - and even held a special concert dedicated to one of the musicians who has been performing with the group for 50 years.

The upcoming concert will feature Verdi's 'Force of Destiny', 'Italian Serenade in G Major' by Wolf, Mendelssohn's 'Symphony No. 4 (Italian), and 'Aus Italien (from Italy) Op. 26' by Strauss.

The evening will be conducted by Anthony Houghton, who has been leading the group since to 2001-2 season..

Tickets are £15 for adults and free for under 18s. They are available from Congleton Tourist Information Centre and Macclesfield Visitor Information Centre as well as online.
