Two people have been taken to hospital following a collision that involved two cars and a pedestrian in Congleton this afternoon.

At 12:40pm today (Friday, 26 February), Cheshire Police received reports of a collision on Brook Street, Congleton, involving two cars and a pedestrian.

Two residents involved in the incident were taken to hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be serious.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Officers and ambulance services attended to the scene and a road closure was put in place at the side of Brook Street.

"Two people were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be serious."

Cheshire Police told Nub News that one of the cars involved in the incident had collided with a house.

Two fire engines also attended the scene - one from Sandbach and one from Holmes Chapel.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters attended to a collision on Brook Street involving two cars and a pedestrian.

"No one was trapped in the vehicles and two people were handed into the care of paramedics.

"A 35-year-old woman was reported to have sustained no serious injuries. Crews made the scene safe."
