Independent artisan traders are ready and waiting for residents to come and visit as the Congleton Makers Market returns to the town today.

The market, which can be found on Market Street Car Park (home of the fairground) is open until 4pm.

A Congleton Makers Market spokesperson wrote on social media: "Oh how we've missed you all ... we're ecstatic to be back today and look forward to seeing you all very soon at our social distanced market!

"We've taken extra care to make sure we're as safe as can be and with lots of measures in place to ensure everybody's safety such as adhering to a 2m distance, a one way system and plenty of hand sanitiser, we're looking forward to welcoming you all back to the Congleton Makers Market TODAY!"
